AGFC shortens turkey season by two days
LITTLE ROCK – Commissioners with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission last week shortened the turkey season from last year’s total of 18 days to 16 days. The season framework was approved after a review of recent harvests and brood surveys along with input from turkey hunters.

RUSSELLVILLE - Tom Kremers of Clarksville added almost a pound and a half to the state-record shortnose gar mark Sept. 23 when he caught one that weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces from the Spadra Creek area of Lake Dardanelle.

Most boating accidents involve persons without training
LITTLE ROCK – Nine of every 10 persons involved in a boating accident this year had no boating safety training, according to an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission report.
