March 17, 2011 Weekly Fishing Report

Featured Fisheries Improvement: The AGFC, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and private partners have been working to establish brush piles in DeGray Lake west of Arkadelphia during the low water. Many mega-mats of bamboo have been placed on the exposed lakebed, and many large trees have been cut from the surrounding land and placed as cover for fish when the water rises. These brush piles will serve as fish attractors for anglers and some cover for fish until the grass in the lake returns. For more information on the project, contact Randy Zellers, 501-223-6406.
