Fishing Tip: The reel seat of a rod can get ice-cold during winter fishing. To keep your hands a bit warmer, wrap the exposed metal of the reel seat with bicycle handle tape. The tape will keep your skin off the metal and adds a more comfortable feel. Don’t wrap too much tape around the handle, as it can decrease sensitivity.
