Youths lead opening of December elk hunt
The beginning of the five-day December elk hunt in the Buffalo River country had a strong youth flavor.
In the first two days of hunting, three bull elk were taken on public land. All three bulls were by youngsters under 16.

Orange isn't just for deer, bear and elk hunting
You may be a specialist who hunts only squirrels. Or maybe just rabbits. Still, you need to have a hunter orange cap and vest available at certain times.

Owning property doesn't make you an Arkansas resident

No, says the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Ownership of Arkansas real estate by a person living outside the state does not qualify the owner as a resident.
