Description
The Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center in Fort Smith invites you to join us for Slithering Snakes at the nature center.

May 10 • June 14 • July 26 | 1 p.m.

Local reptile enthusiasts Jeremy Sloan and Brad Birchfield will provide a hands-on look at one of nature’s most interesting animals. They present a common sense-based presentation about snakes and their importance to our environment. You’ll learn how to identify Arkansas’s most common snakes, how to avoid them and come away with a better appreciation for our native serpents.

Sloan and Birchfield are members of the Arkansas Herpetological Society, a loosely structured group that hosts field trips twice a year in the state. More information can be found at www.herpsofarkansas.com.
