The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be hosting the 3rd Annual Youth Turkey Camp from 4 p.m., Friday, April 8 through noon, Sunday, April 10, 2016.

This turkey camp and hunt is geared to those youth ages 12-15 that have little to no hunting experience. Participants must have completed Hunter Education prior to the hunt. A parent or guardian will be required to attend camp. The camp will begin Friday with introductions and dinner. Then we will cover topics on turkey biology, hunting equipment and techniques, and safety. Each participant will be paired with an experienced turkey hunting mentor for the hunts Saturday and Sunday.

Additional InformationCamp Requirements:
  • Hunters must have a valid Hunter Education Card
  • Hunters must bring sleeping bags, pillows, toiletries, camouflage clothing, boots, shotgun and other necessities.
  • A parent or guardian must accompany each youth during the camp.
