The Lake Chicot Management Plan is up for revision this year. To gather input for the plan, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be holding a public meeting on Oct. 18.

The meeting will be held in Lake Village at the Chicot County Courthouse beginning at 7 p.m. An online survey for proposed changes also will be available on the agency’s website.

A few of the proposed changes include:
  • Removing the 10-inch crappie length limit on the lake.
  • Changing the start of drawdowns to after July 4.
